Connected Retail and Supply Chain Symposium August 9, 2017 View Agenda Facing increasing pressures to make operations more efficient, keep pace with competition, and stay ahead of changing regulations, organizations today are looking for ways to improve visibility into critical workflows in the distribution center and retail shop floor - and make the right decisions for their operation. At the same time, omni-channel retailing has converged the online and offline shopping experiences – creating more of a focus on what customers want versus which channels they will use to get it. With the distinction between online and offline blurring rapidly, retailers are increasingly weighing the new technologies that enable them to integrate the online and physical worlds to more impactfully reach customers. This symposium aims to present innovative strategies that will enable supply chain and retail operations leaders to adapt to a changing market. We will showcase in-depth case studies from industry leaders who share how they have joined the digital movement. This will enable richer customer experiences and build a new kind of supply network that’s both resilient and responsive. Designed for individuals in the following roles:

Connected Worker: Safety Symposium August 10, 2017 View Agenda Companies across several industries are looking for ways to improve worker safety, prevent risks that can lead to business disruption, and obtain the real-time data they need to make informed decisions. This helps them to improve safety and productivity as well as ensure immediate compliance with safety regulations. Today the numbers are staggering. 6,300 people die around the world every day as a result of occupational accidents or work-related diseases, with more than 317 million accidents occurring on the job annually resulting in extended absences from work. In fact, the economic burden of poor occupational safety and health practices is estimated at 4 percent of global Gross Domestic Product each year, according to the United Nations. The goal of this symposium is to showcase how industry peers are leveraging connected solutions. These enable employers to ensure that workers comply with safety standards, monitor them in remote and high-risk situations, and collect safety data that can be analyzed for greater insights into safety performance.
